How to use the cleaning price calculator

Enter how long the clean takes for each cleaner, how many cleaners you send and your hourly charge. The calculator multiplies them for the labour price, then adds any extras, travel and parking, and VAT if you are registered.

Your hourly charge should cover far more than wages. It needs to pay for travel time, products, insurance, admin and profit. Our guide to pricing cleaning jobs shows how to work out your real hourly cost and set prices for regular, deep and end of tenancy cleans.

Fixed prices or hourly?

  • Regular domestic cleans are usually charged by the hour, with a minimum visit.
  • Deep and end of tenancy cleans are usually a fixed price by property size, with extras such as ovens and carpets added on.
  • Commercial cleaning is often priced per visit or per month.

Cuppaflow's cleaning starter pack loads example prices and extras so you can quote in minutes. See the CRM for cleaning companies.

Questions and answers

How much should I charge per hour for cleaning?

It depends on your area and costs. Work out your true hourly cost, including travel, products, insurance and admin, then add profit. Our pricing guide walks through it.

How do I price an end of tenancy clean?

Most firms use a fixed price by number of bedrooms, based on realistic hours, then add extras such as oven cleaning and carpets.

Should cleaners charge VAT?

Only if they are VAT registered. Smaller cleaning businesses below the threshold do not charge VAT.
