What to include on an invoice

A UK invoice should include a unique invoice number, your business name and address, the customer's name and address, a description of the work, the date of the work, the invoice date, the amount charged and the total owed. If you are VAT registered you also need your VAT number and the VAT for each rate.

This generator fills in the totals for you, shows VAT only if you tick that you are registered, and lets you print or save a PDF using your browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" as the printer to keep a copy.

Your details stay private

Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Cuppaflow. Your business details are remembered on this device so the next invoice is quicker, and you can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.

When you outgrow it

If you send more than a few invoices a month, invoicing software saves hours. Cuppaflow turns finished jobs into branded invoices with a pay-by-card link and QR code, chases late payers automatically and keeps a record for your tax return. Read our guide to invoicing as a UK sole trader.
